1. Tales from the Trips (Latest News)
===============================================
So I am finally back in the winter wonderland of Big Bear Lake. My return home was a little bit precarious because more than eight inches of snow fell and although I had the right clothes—I did not have the right shoes and wondered how I’d get from the mountain transport bus to my home.
Fortunately, my neighbors all pitched in to help.
Bob cleared a path down my hillside stairs, Joan picked me up at the Lodge where I was deposited and all was right with the world!
It is good to be home and even better to finally be feeling well. I can amble up and down the hills without a lot of trouble and that has not happened in almost two years.
I missed most of fall but winter is a great time of year where I live. The fresh fallen snow makes everything glisten and saturates the soil so that the forest can drink deeply.
The blanket of white always exposes just what animals have been snooping around the place and the birds are more attentive since they want me to help them out on cold, blustery days by making sure the feeders are filled with seeds to help them get through the storms and deeply covered earth.
In fact, they were bossing me just this morning!
I’ve also started a new book. Normally I shop it first but I am busy working on the content on this one.
More will be revealed to you later.
Thanks for your support and I hope you have a great holiday season.
Happy Tails to You & Yours,
Diana L Guerrero

2. Discussion for the Month
===============================================
So I was one of the winners in the NaNoWrMo competition last month.
Every November a bunch of writers work on novels and other projects.
I am sure it is no surprise to you that my new book is on animals. There is still a lot of work to do–but that is how the writing process works.
I’d love to hear about those myths you have encountered about animals, their training, behavior, and care…so if you have a minute, email me or leave a comment on the blog.
At the moment I am having a break from most of the writing projects except for those of my clients.
It took a week to get back in sync on the mountain and to get ready for this big storm that finally hit today.
We expect at least two feet of snow before tomorrow and the storm is suppose to be here all week.
During the holiday season it is important to make sure that your pets are prepared for the hazards of winter and the activities during this season.
I’ve written on this topic many times and encourage you to visit the website and peruse them.
Please share how you are going to be helping animals over this holiday season and any charities you support.
I’ll be blogging on the topic—hopefully!
Have a great holiday and you’ll hear from me in the new year—if not sooner!
