The Annual Blessing of the Animals at Olvera Steet in Los Angeles (El Pueblo), California is always filled with animal blessings, prayers, and pets. Latina author, Diana L Guerrero was a special guest. Notable attendees included LA City Council members, Mayor James Hahn, and mayoral candidate Antonio Villaraigosa.

Cardinal Roger Mahony blessed all the precious pets at Olivera Street's Blessing of the Animals. Thousands attended this annual pet blessing.
